Jumping in the pool for a workout is the right answer when it's so hot outside. But aqua fitness has so many more benefits than a break from the heat.
Finding an aqua aerobics, aqua Zumba or aqua yoga class is a great way to exercise with minimal impact on your joints. Plus, it's fun and a great social experience. And, honestly, you don't realize how hard you are working while you are in the pool.
While in the pool you will gain strength, enhance balance and stability, increase flexibility and mobility, increase your endurance, build core strength, lower stress and anxiety. You will also feel more confident in the water and trust your body more.
Finding the right equipment makes the workout even more efficient. There are dumbbells, bands and of course the pool noodle that are specific for the water. Here ia a link to the dumbbells I purchased from Amazon:
